Teaser Trailers

Friday the 13th

In the opening shot it looks tranquil and quite, the sun is setting on a nice evening. This contrasts with the following long, low angled shot of the trees, creating a intimidating shioullete. We know the steeting of the film through a shot taken from the movie, 'Camp Crystal Lake'.

Depravity

This is a slightly longer then average teaser trailer, lasting just over a minute. We start off through what looks like a point of view shot, the setting is dank and we can tell strait away it isn't going to be a comedy or light hearted. The music also adds to the sinister atmosphere. The company which created the movie also indicates it's a horror, 'Dripping Dead Films'. The close up of the woman's mouth, what she says, 'I'd run if i were you, he's coming back', and the short takes of what happens, 'teasing' the audience into wanting to go see it and answer the questions the trailer provides, such as who is the woman on the phone? Who is coming back? And what have they done? This trailer is broken up into clauses, building up a crescendo to a climax.

TOY STORY 3

We can tell just by the production companies that this most likely a comedy animation. The only real production values are where is states that in selected cinemas it will feature in 3D and it shows the production company (Pixar) and the distributor(Walt Disney Pictures) which are well known globally and have a good reputation for not only a younger audience but 'to enable Disney to release films with a more mature content', and therefore having a broader audience.

We can tell it's Toy Story because of the mise-en-scene, the blue wallpaper with white clouds and wooden floor, the well know characters and music which is iconic of it, and is used in association with the film. We know this is a follow on of the well known classic animation. The name of the movie features in it twice by the characters, and shows the comedy in the film and portrays their personalities.
